This topic provides instructions to connect your Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) account with Microsoft Online Services. Blackberry Internet Service only provides e-mail synchronization with Microsoft Exchange Online.

Use Blackberry Internet Service with Microsoft Online Services

To configure Blackberry Internet Service to use Microsoft Online Services

  1. Log in to your wireless provider's Blackberry Internet Service site.

  2. Click Setup Account in the Email Accounts pane.

  3. Type the e-mail address and password you use to access your e-mail account, and then click Next.

At this point, Blackberry Internet Service prompts you for additional information.

  4. Select I will provide the settings to add this email account, and then click Next.

  5. On the Select Account Type dialog box, select This is my work email account, and click Next.

  6. On the Set Up An Existing Work Email Account dialog box, select I can access my email account using a Web browser (Outlook Web Access), and then click Next.

  7. On the Set Up An Existing Outlook Web Access Account dialog box, enter the Outlook Web Access (OWA) URL for your location as follows:

  8. For User name, enter the e-mail address you use to sign in to Microsoft Online Services.

  9. For Password, enter the password you use to sign in to Microsoft Online Services.

  10. For Email address, enter the e-mail address you use to sign in to Microsoft Online Services.

  11. For Mailbox name, leave it blank, and then click Next.

Your Microsoft Online Services e-mail account should now be successfully added to your list of Valid Email Accounts for Blackberry Internet Service. A new mailbox will appear on your Blackberry shortly.
